As part of a broader renovation of UAB’s Kirklin Clinic Acton Road facility, BPA redesigned the CT room to enhance efficiency, aesthetics, and patient experience. Limited by a landlocked footprint, the team worked closely with clinicians to optimize the layout, incorporating improved storage solutions and reconfigured millwork in the control room.

The design introduces lighter finishes, wall and flooring patterns, and a neutral palette with subtle nods to UAB’s branding—creating a more open, calming environment. Modernized materials balance aesthetics with the strict hygiene standards of healthcare spaces, while advanced imaging technology integrates seamlessly with radiation treatment equipment, supporting UAB’s commitment to oncology care.
