BPA completed a transformative renovation of the 23-bed inpatient cardiology unit on the 7th floor of the North Tower at St. Vincent’s East. The redesigned unit brings heart patients together in a centralized, telemetry- and intermediate-bed environment—positioned between standard care and CICU—to enhance clinical oversight and streamline care delivery.

The layout champions patient-centered design and operational efficiency, with central imaging readers and advanced cardiovascular technology enabling clinicians to review scans in real-time, facilitating immediate clinical decision-making. Staff benefit from a cohesive, focused workspace that fosters professional growth through in-service training and deeper expertise in cardiovascular care. Patients experience more attentive and seamless care, and rounds occur without the delays of traveling across units, thereby strengthening both care quality and the connection to the community.
