Jackson Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery center at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.   Services include six OR suites and four endoscopy suites.  The Surgery Center provides an inviting, relaxing environment for patients while facilitating clinical processes and flow for the surgical staff.

The client’s intent was to create an autonomous ambulatory surgical facility within the existing Jackson Hospital campus to provide a more efficient and aesthetic environment for outpatient procedures. The design concept was to fit the building within a greater campus masterplan and pull from the adjacent building vocabulary while defining an individual aesthetic of the building which would be appropriate for its unique function.
