Owner: United Ability (Family United Cerebral Palsy)
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Project Size: 40,000 sq. ft.
A state-of-the-art learning center for children of all abilities - this project was carefully designed while collaborating with educators and developmental specialists to meet all children’s needs and provide a safe, healthy, and happy environment for them to learn and grow. This integrated, inter-abled style of learning hoped to promote compassion in young learners towards people unlike them and aimed to give special needs children a place to learn from and interact with other children. The facility itself can accommodate 104 children aged six weeks to 4 years. It is surrounded by 7 acres of wooded landscape, butterfly gardens, and nature trails to encourage indoor and outdoor learning and discovery.
